Day 7 - Yellowstone, Wyoming

Monday, May 24th:
After only 2 hours of driving, we arrived in Yellowstone National Park. It was cold, but the frozen lake made up for it; stunning.

We were all hungry and enjoyed the warm food served in the general store.

The springs were beautiful, but the sulfur smell wasn't that pleasant...

It was fun to see all of the spots fenced off that had springs or geysers coming up.
Lower Falls was gorgeous - but very windy!

We stayed the night in a cabin at Mammoth Springs. It was nice to get to the place we stayed early enough to enjoy the evening out of the car! We played Dutch Blitz to relax. :)

Yeah, the sulfur smell is disgusting! =D

And I loved the picture of Lower Falls. We have a picture of Mom and myself in that exact same spot....did you do UNcle Tom's Trail? Probably not, since it was so gusty...

Oh my gosh, I live about 1.5 hours away from Yellowstone. it's so funny seeing your pictures cause I'm just like "been there, been there, been there". :) It's a great place. You're right, the sulfur from the hot springs is horrid! What animals did you get to see? The last time I went (I go about 2 or 3 times per year) I saw a wolf for the first time.

Ella: No, we didn't get to do a lot of trails. Since we were only here a few days, we mostly did short walks and overlooks, to see as much as we could.

American Niqabi: It's neat that you live near here - it's a beautiful place. We've seen a lot of bison and deer, and a few saw a bear. We also saw a bald eagle nest this morning. It's so neat to see the wildlife all over!

Charity Green: Dutch Blitz is definitely a favorite of ours. =)
