Headed to Arkansas

In honor of Resurrection Day, college is giving us tomorrow and Monday off from classes! Because I was recently home for spring break and will be home again soon (the semester is flying by!), I decided to take this break to visit my brother Luke, his wife Michele, and their 5 children in Arkansas. They were so kind to invite Elijah and I to come, and I'm excited to see them, since I haven't seen them since the wedding last September!

So, don't expect to hear from me this weekend. Also, a daily disciplines post won't be written on Monday, since I'll be driving back to college and preparing for another week of classes.

I'm heading off tonight at 6 p.m., and it will be around a 5 1/2 hour drive according to Google Maps. I would appreciate your prayers for Elijah and I as we both drive into late tonight.

Have a blessed Resurrection Day!

Have a blessed Resurrection Day and a wonderful trip! I got the day off from work today, so that was nice. I am looking forward to tomorrow's church service, etc. We serve an awesome God!

Anna - I'm so glad you called it Resurrection Day! My husband and I were just discussing Easter the other day and he read that it is really a pagan holiday to celebrate Spring. The Easter bunny came along because rabbits reproduce quickly. This day is certainly a celebration of life, but we should be careful not to lose focus of what life!

Have a safe trip!
