Picasa Photo Managing

If any of you are looking for a great photo managing system that will allow you to organize, edit, create, and share photos, let me recommend Picasa to you! Picasa is available for free download from Google, and it is so helpful! You can add special affects, adjust tinting and lighting, fix red-eye even more easily with Picasa 3, and crop to exact photo dimensions or just free-hand. I use it with nearly each batch of photos I take, and it allows a somewhat-good photo to look even better! Even pictures that turn out dark or have horrible red-eye are easily fixed using Picasa.

Many of you have probably already used Picasa, but if you haven't, I would encourage you to give it a try! I'm very grateful to my brother Elijah for setting it up for me to use it!

This isn't the most striking difference I've found, but below is the same picture, one before I edited it, and one after I hit the "auto color" phot in Picasa.

Before - Still very pretty and I like the green tints

After - More blue in the sky

A quick question...what is the difference between Picasa 2 and Picasa 3? I heard that on Picasa 3 you can design photo cards. But maybe I'm just missing this feature on Picasa 2. Thanks for your help!

Jalis: Picasa 3 has tools that are easier to use, in my opinion. One of the best ones is the red eye corrector. In Picasa 3 it usually auto detects exactly what it needs to correct, making it easier than you trying to select the small area, although sometimes you still need to do that.

I haven't found any photo card designer in either feature, but I may just not know where to look. Sorry I'm not more helpful!
