Happy 18th Birthday Miriam!

Happy 18th birthday, dear Miriam Rebekah! I hope your day is filled with blessings and delight!

We've been through so much together over the years, and I wish I were there to share this day with you. Though I am hours away right now however, know that I am there in thoughts and prayers. Can you believe we're now both 18?

We've known each other since we were 4 years old... that's 14 years of time together, my dear friend! Yet it has all gone by so quickly...

We began to really develop a close friendship when we were 11 and 12. We grew a lot - you especially! =) Now we're nearly equal in height, and we've developed a lot of the same mannerisms as well. I guess that's what happens to bosom friends and soul mates.

Somehow it still seems as though we were merely 14, barely into teenhood, and yet feeling so grown up. These past 4 years have flown by quickly, but they've been good ones, filled with many blessings.

It's your senior year of high school and my freshman year of college, so I guess that proves that we've gotten older, though I certainly don't feel like it. We can now both drive alone (Miriam got her driver's license in August!) and we've taken on many responsibilities. The best thing about it is that, as the years flew by, we didn't grow apart. No, we grew even closer together. Though distance has separated us, that has just made the emails, letters, and phone calls become more frequent.

There are many things I could say, though they've been said before. But, a new week has started and I must soon leave to grab breakfast and run to class. ;) It is still true, however, that you're a beautiful, talented, kind young woman of God. Thank you again and again for the wonderful friend you've been over the years.

Another age has come, though I know it still feels the same on the inside. In this next year of your life, purpose to "Look to the LORD and His strength; seek His face always." (Psalm 105:4) I look forward to what the next years will have in store, and I'm thankful to know that we'll continue to be friends forever.

Have a wonderful 18th birthday, my dear!

Happy, Happy Birthday Miriam H!

I've always been so glad Anna has a great friend like you. I always longed for a best friend when I was a child/teenager and I'm glad she gets that longing fulfilled, someone to be close friends with, to share the journey through life with.

Enjoy your day:)

Maria

Happy Birthday Miriam! Wow, it doesn't seem like I've known you for almost 5 years now. One of those pictures (the next to last one) definitely reminds me of what you and Anna looked like when I first met you. Always inseparable lol. Of course at the time I wasn't interested in talking to someone my brothers age, where's the fun in that? At the time I thought you kind of boring, I'd sooner annoy your younger siblings. But that view has changed, as you know very well by the way I treat you every tuesday night! Love you and hope you've had a very wonderful 18th birthday! See ya tomorrow night!

Oh, and I wanted to ask both you and Anna if you have any secrets for getting that gorgeous long hair? It looks so lovely and feminine. :)
