Delight in the Lord

Are you delighting in the Lord today? Our wonderful Father never ceases to amaze me! Walking back from the Center for the Arts today (about a block off of the main campus, and where I have all my theatre-related classes), I couldn't stop smiling. The day is so beautiful, and God's creation so wondrous. As I walked, I couldn't help myself from bursting into song:

"From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to it's light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom..."
(lyrics from "Indescribable" by Chris Tomlin)

There is a lot to do. Homework is ever present, and my evenings are taken up sewing costumes and helping backstage for an upcoming production. As the time gets closer, I'm also not getting as much sleep as I try to get. However, our God is ever faithful, and we must take the time to spend time with Him and praise Him, even amidst very busy seasons of life.

College is going well, though I do miss home, and will miss our bi-annual camping trip for the first time in 10 years! But there are new experiences here in which to learn and grow, and my walk with my Savior in which to ever-deepen and grow. Today I am praising and delighting in my Maker, and it is my prayer that I shall learn to do it every day.

"Glorify the Lord with me. Let us exalt His Name together!"
- Psalm 34:3

Anna, I am always so proud of the attitude you possess! You are delighting in where the Lord has you...though you do miss home! To quote another of Chris TOmlin's songs, "How Great is our God" that He gives us the strength and grace to meet everything!

I am sorry you will miss your camping trip though.

What a God-glorifying attitude! I pray I may be similarly joyful in the Lord when I go off to college next year. I have been reminding myself that if this is God's plan for me, then it is perfect and I can live as victoriously for Christ there as I can at home! Thank you for your encouragement and example; it is truly a blessing.

In Him,
Tiffany Hope

Both yesterday and today, I ended up in town with nothing to do for a little while, so I have had two very good walks in two days! It is so hard to pessimistic and worried when surrounded by the colorful trees and fresh air...
