Look Up!

The past few days have felt truly like fall, with cool undertones and just the feel of autumn in the air. I've actually had to wear a jacket outside in the morning and evening! It's a lovely time of year.

Today was absolutely perfect. I walked along in the cool breeze, and looked up at the sky, spontaneously singing "God of Wonders" because I simply couldn't hold it in. God's creation is amazing!

The sky is especially wondrous - it's like God's tapestry for His masterpieces. Sunsets and sunrises are my favorite things, but I also like the beautiful clear blue, fluffy white clouds, or even dark clouds before a storm. Too often, I get caught up in the cares of the day, and walk around with my eyes toward the ground. But when I look up... Wow. It often takes my breath away to see how the greatness of our God displayed!

Truly, "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where there voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world." (Psalm 19:1-4)

There is beauty all around us, from the lush green grass to the rippling water. But we must not forget to look up and see the majestic displays God has created in the skies. Don't forget - look up - and praise our Awesome God.

Thanks for the reminder! The sky is one of my favorite parts of God's creation, but I tend to be distracted by worldly things (you know schoolwork, chores, my siblings. Things like that!) and I forget to look up. So when I saw your post I realized that I hadn't looked at the sky today at all and then I promptly went outside and admired the stars. Thanks!

The weather here in IL is officially becoming fall as well! The days are getting shorter it seems and the nights are getting a lot chillier so I will be retiring my shorts and capris soon in exchange for sweat pants and jeans to keep warm as the weather gets colder. I tend to get so wrapped up in things that I often don't take in the beauty of God's creations until last night when me and the boyfriend were driving to drop something off at Fedex the moon was a beautiful glowing organe; a harvest moon which is the sign that fall is officially on its way!

Thanks for the reminder to look up! Too often I get focused on what's going on around me and don't take the time to look at God's creation. It is a beautiful thing to behold.

Jessica: Well, when we first designed our blog, my brother Elijah did a lot of html work to get everything looking right. I took a picture and added the words using a image editor program, and he centered it in html. There is a way to change your blog's header if you go to your blogger dashboard and click on "layout". I'm afraid I can't exactly explain how to do what we did. My brother has been a huge blessing in helping me figure out computers!

Anna, this is a lovely post. I love star-gazing, but I often don't look up during the day! When I go out this morning I will :-)

Here in New Zealand, it's spring. The birds are singing their little hearts out and the air smells of flowers!
