Happy Independence Day!

I hope each one of you is having a lovely 4th of July! Don't forget to thank God for the freedom we enjoy and for the rich history of this nation.

What are your plans for the day? We're going to a celebration with some friends, then we'll have a picnic supper and watch fireworks tonight. I've also been busy getting ready for my birthday party tomorrow!

My sister and I raised the American flag around three in the afternoon and then ate various leftovers for dinner in our playhouse that my father and grandfather built for us. It was quite fun and delicious, but I did rather miss my father who was working late. Somehow my Norwegianess prevents me from doing a lot to celebrate the 4th of July.

This is Laura, the girl from Montana that was sitting next to you at New Attitude (and you and your siblings so graciously let me join you for lunch one day). Since you gave me your business card, I finally looked up your blog...it looks great! I find it ironic that you and I have been reading some of the same books in the last month.
