Finally, the pictures from our wonderful weekend outdoors are compiled into one slideshow that tells the story of our camp-out. We had a total of 85 people camp (though some only for one night) and 33 people came out just for the day. So, 28 families were represented in a grand total of 118 people that came out to Fort Toulouse with our group! (Thanks to Miriam for these numbers!)
If you'd like to get a glimpse of how the weekend went, please watch the slideshow below. Because of the great number of pictures taken I made a slideshow to kind of sum everything up. Sorry that some of the words flash off the screen too quickly - it looks fine on my computer, but when I uploaded it, the quality went down and for some reason some of the words messed up a little. Anyways, I hope you enjoy!
If you'd like to see even more pictures from camping, choose from the online albums here.

WOW! :) It's amazing how fast I forgot some of the amazing fun times. Thanks for the reminder!
Thanks for spending the time to sort through all the pictures and add captions! :)

I never knew I could read so fast!
:o)
I don't recall you saying...but where exactly were ya'll camping? It looks like ya'll had a load of fun!!!
It was a great time! I'm glad you all enjoyed the pictures.
Kim: I do believe I forgot to say where we went. We camped at Fort Toulouse, a small state park.
Anna,
You did a WONDERFUL job with the slide show and the captions. Thanks for taking the time to make the memories so special.
I enjoyed the slideshow and the captions. It looks like a lot of fun.Have you gone to any of the reenactments at the park?
Mrs. Hart: Glad you enjoyed it!
Robert: Yes, I've gone to a few of the reenactments. Many years ago my dad took Elijah and I to a battle reenactment, and we've been to their Frontier Days a few times. When we were camping, there was in fact some actors doing a small reenactment, living in the fort and so on. It looks like a neat thing to do - getting to be old-fashioned for a whole day or more! =)
I've read some bloggers who do Civil War ones throughout the summer/fall.They use the clothing and cooking items of that time. Some also put on a ball.It would be fun as you can wear old fashioned clothing without looking out of place! :)
