Although I'm busy with sewing for dance and others, I did find time recently to make a new winter skirt. I found an old pattern at my Grandparent's house (I doubt it's in print anymore!) that was actually for a long skirt - you can't find many like that anymore, sadly enough. Anyway, I made this skirt once before out of jean-like material, and after enjoying it so much, I decided to make another one. I used some heavy fabric we'd found lying around, and it really works well for a warmer, winter skirt. Ankle-length is one of my favorite skirt lengths, especially in winter. I enjoyed lessons and shopping in this skirt today, and look forward to wearing it many more times!Thursday, February 07, 2008

It really is sad that long skirts are so hard to find these days! Sometimes Walmart has long skirts in stock. I purchased a few there a while ago! I was SHOCKED!
