An Update On My Life

Hello! I haven't posted since last year! I've wanted to write something in the last couple of weeks, but I wanted it to be worth reading. As it is, this is just an update of my life and what's going on.

I'm preparing for piano festival and have one of my two pieces memorized. The one that I have not finished committing to memory is Claire De Lune. When it's memorized, I'll truly breath easier. :0
In a week and a half, I have All-State Band auditions. All-State is where band people come and audition for the band and there are three different levels I could make. There is Red band, White band, and Blue band, from highest to lowest. If I make any level of All-State Band, then I've automatically made District Honor Band. Anyway, I'll be glad when the auditions are over and I know what I make.
I also have an extra flute lesson with my old teacher to help me with the audition music.
Along with the above work and practicing, I am still doing piano lessons and regular band practice on Tuesdays, choral on Wednesdays, dance on Thursdays, and orchestra on Saturdays.
So, do I get away with my excuse for not posting in a while? =)

I'll update again after the audition to say how it went, but I think that my posting for the next month will be almost none. I'll try my best, but sometimes it's just too much.

God bless,
Miriam Rebekah

Aww, I understand, Miriam! I'm extraordinarily musically busy myself! AND I'm going to be adding voice lessons to the mix!

I have 3 flute pieces for festival, but fortunately, they don't have to be memorized. I'm working on memorizing on festival piece for piano though. :)

Praying your auditions go well!
God bless,

Oh, Miriam...I can sympathize!! My Gershwin piece is in my memory bank (with a minor glitch her and there) However, my Mozart piece has some very weird's way harder! I shall be praying for you. I am sad that this is my last year!

Oh, do you take the theory test at the festival? I do, my teacher loves it!

Wow, you definitely do have a great excuse for not posting in a while!! :) I don't know how you manage to do all that you do! If I had all that in my schedule, I'd probably go insane! :)

I have missed this blog SOOOO much! I haven't been here in a while, due to Christmas, New Years, school, family visiting, etc. etc. I'm so glad to be back on your blog! It offers such a breath of fresh air, refreshment, and great encouragement from dear, likeminded friends and sisters in Christ. This blog is such a blessing!

I know you and Anna are really busy, but it'd be great if you would drop by my blog sometime-I'd love to receive some more comments from you guys when you have the time! :)

I hope your audtitions and lessons go well! I'm praying for you both!

Don't worry Miriam, the Lord is with you always and I know how CRAZY it can get! You should post a video of yourself playing one of
your pieces! I didn't know you played piano! How long have you been playing for? :o)

Thanks for the encouragement and prayers, everyone!
The auditions are tomorrow and though I'm not really nervous, I'll be glad when it's over.

Hopefully this will be my last year competing at festival. If I score high enough to get my third gold cup, then I won't have to do it next year. I'm graduating next year, but if I don't have to do festival, then that's one less thing that I'll have to worry about.
No, I don't take the theory test. I am doing the sight-reading thing this year. It ought to be fun, because I love sight-reading!

I doubt you want to hear me play piano enough to see a video of me.
:) I've played for a little over nine years.
