We've all been working hard on Ruth - From Rejection to Redemption these past weeks. We've been practicing every Thursday and Monday evening for 2 hours (or more, for I often accidentally run over time!), and also had an extra practice last Saturday. We were trying out the costumes at the Saturday practice, and Elijah videotaped it for a short promo clip that Miriam Lofgren put together for the musical. You can watch it on the GodTube video I've put in this post, or go here to watch it on YouTube. The past weeks of rehearsals have flown by so quickly, and this Friday and Saturday are the presentations! We pray that everything goes well for God's glory, and would appreciate your prayers as well.
Much of my time these past weeks has been spent on this musical - doing the rehearsals, planning the rehearsals, choreographing the dances, finding music, figuring out all of the entering and exiting, and so on. We also made all the girl's skirts, so I bought all the fabric, cut out 20 skirts, and distributed some to mothers or girls that sew, sewing 11 up myself, and also making Dad's robe. It's taken a lot of work, but I've truly enjoyed it. The first practices were a bit hard, and trying to keep track of what 28 or so other people do while acting myself is quite a challenge, but God is good. He's given me the strength to go on, and the parents and actors have provided invaluable help.
I hope you enjoy seeing a sneak peak of what we're doing. The video shows short clips from 3 of the 8 songs we're doing.
