He Has a Plan

The future's so uncertain;
The way is unclear.
I know God has a purpose,
I know I don't need to fear.

But the doubts begin pressing -
Questions fill my head.
"What will I do...
In these years looming ahead?"

I want to know now,
Begging God for an answer.
"Will I go here? Or do this?
Which one is for sure?"

"Trust me, My daughter,"
My kind Father reminds me.
"I have a plan and a future
Marked out just for thee."

"I have such struggles, Papa,
Can you show me them now?"
"Trust Me, My Child,"
He soothes, as He vows,

"I will show you the path,
One step at a time.
Don't be in a hurry,
But rest. Wait for My time."

"I trust You, dear Lord.
I know You know best.
Give me the strength to wait and go each step
Until you show me the rest."

I may not know now
What I'll do every day.
But I do know for certain,
That God will show me the way.

I really identify with this poem, Anna! That was definitely me in my teens and through college. God is faithful, and He uses years of uncertainty to draw us to Him. Amen.

This is really a wonderful poem! You express yourself so well, as Ella said.

And as Elijah said, when is the book coming out?

Elijah and Miriam, you two are too funny. I'm not planning for a book anytime soon - if ever! =)

Susan, I've read some of your thoughts on your teen and college years, and I definitely identify with you!

Thanks, Ella. Yes, it came to me yesterday morning as I was praying and wondering what on earth I was going to do in the future. God just... gave it to me.

All of our futures are uncertain, only God knows where we're going. Anna, whatever you do, God is taking care of you and He will help you whatever happens.

Thanks for the encouragement, Elizabeth, Britt, and Miriam. I know that whatever happens, it will be okay, for God's in control.
