Trip To Cheaha

On Sunday, our family and a friend went to Cheaha State Park for the day. We went hiking to Bald Rock, and Chinnabee Falls. We checked out the campsites for possible future camping trips. It was refreshing in the mountains, although rather humid. It was an altogether enjoyable day.

The view from Bald Rock. Lovely!

My sister Esther, and I on a ledge at Bald Rock.

We're in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in Northern Alabama. I love the mountains.

I'm not the only girl who wears large straw hats on hikes! My friends like to tease me :).

It is so beautiful up there! I've forgotten... It must have been 3 years or more since I've been up there! I do remember that Bald Rock was especially pretty

You wore your hat! How cute! =)

Is it just my imagination or is Jon holding onto your brother to make sure he doesn't fall off? :)

Beautiful pictures! I love views from heights... hiking is fun!

Actually, I'm the one in the camouflage, and I'm holding on to my friend Jon. There's about a one hundred foot or more drop below us.
So I was just being cautious.

Well, being cautious is a good thing. If it were me on that ledge, I'd be laying down! :)

Actually, that's the first time I've worn that hat somewhere public. Anna's always been so much braver than me in those kind of things, but I decided to wear it.
I had a lady say I looked cute in it. :)
